What to know before you flow

Experience Required
Elite Whitewater Week is designed for paddlers who are already comfortable in moving water and have prior whitewater kayaking experience. Participants should have solid boat control, be comfortable swimming in current, and be prepared for consecutive days of paddling on Class IV–V rivers. This is a progression-focused program where safety, teamwork, and good decision-making are just as important as technical skills.

What to Bring
Bring your personal paddling gear if you have it, but kayaks, paddles, helmets, PFDs, and skirts, are readily available. A detailed packing list will be provided, but plan for a week of tropical river adventures with quick-dry clothing, rain gear, sunscreen, and personal items. Come prepared to paddle hard, grow a lot, and experience some of the most rewarding whitewater Costa Rica has to offer.
