Experience one of Costa Rica’s most unforgettable adventures – two full days of whitewater, waterfalls, and jungle immersion along the world-famous Pacuare River.

You’ll paddle through exhilarating Class III–IV rapids surrounded by lush rainforest and towering canyon walls. Along the way, we’ll stop to swim beneath hidden waterfalls, enjoy a riverside lunch, and arrive at our jungle lodge in time for cocktail hour and a short night hike beneath the rainforest canopy.

Wake up to the sounds of tropical birds and the rush of the river. After a full breakfast, continue downstream through another stretch of breathtaking rapids before taking out near the Caribbean side – the perfect segue for those continuing their adventure toward the coast. Vehicle transport can be arranged so your car meets you at the end, saving hours of driving time.

What to know before you flow

What to Bring
Pack for two days of adventure and comfort in the rainforest. You’ll want quick-dry clothing for rafting (avoid cotton), closed-toe river shoes or secure sport sandals, and a light change of clothes for overnight. Bring long pants and a long-sleeve layer for evening comfort, as well as bug spray, sunscreen, a headlamp, and personal essentials like toiletries or medication.

Lodging
After a full day on the river, unwind in your screened jungle cabin, complete with real beds, cozy blankets, and private bathrooms equipped with toilets and showers. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river, candlelight ambiance, and a hearty breakfast before paddling back into the canyon for another day of excitement and natural beauty.
